Hi there and welcome to my blog.
This is my very first blog so bare with me if you can.
I've always been the crafty type.  No I don't mean it as in Dick Dastardly or some other evil cartoon or person.
I LOVE to create things, build, improve, originate, and make people smile doing it.
I have been making home-made crafts since I was in Kindergarten; going to arts and crafts every summer, bringing home handmade items created by me and my sisters for my parents, brothers and myself.
The joy I get from creating something beautiful, useful and/or amazing is a feeling of euphoric excitement that can be contagious by other craft-lovers or lovers of unique artistic style.
When I make something myself that no one else has, and I hear the "wow, you made that?" sung with sincerity, I get a sense of accomplishment.
Every Christmas, my "crafty" sister and I put our heads together and create a table gift for over 20 people that they can take home, use, and keep for many many years.
My sister and I are twins...well we were born 11 months apart, but we are so much alike that we actually finish each other's sentences and do so many like-minded things without consulting each other that it almost scares us.
For an example: My two brothers (not twins) were both born in January, 11 days apart, so we usually buy both of thier birthday cards at the same time.  This year, my sister and I bought the exact same card for my youngest brother...which can happen. We all laughed but thought nothing much of it.  But, when my other brother's birthday came, he opened all of his cards and showed that my sister and I had given him identical cards also! (Not the same card as the younger brother).  Yes we shop at the same stores but we didn't buy them while together.  Well, you get it. My sister and I do a lot of things the same, but also complement each other when it comes to crafting.  I would get an idea of a craft to make, and she would come up with how to do it; or vice-versa.
I got the idea in my head to make jewelry, but didn't know at first what to do. We both experimented, and came up with inventive ideas.
We are both perfectionists, so it had to be stylish but also be made well; not cheap or gaudy.  Each item should endure breakage and/or everyday rough handling because, well.... we can get klutzy sometimes if we are in a hurry!
At least I am sometimes! If I go shopping and I'm showing someone a ring or a bracelet that I made, it had better not come apart because that would be a reflection of ME.
I don't mean that you can put my jewelry through a meat grinder and it will come out on the other side undamaged, but it cannot be made cheaply.
I take pride in my work and so does my sister in hers.
So, now you have a little knowledge of what you will be receiving if you ever purchase my jewelry.
Enjoy the blog. More news will be coming soon.
Thanks for reading!
